Gran Turismo came out today on the PSP.
Gran Turismo gets me really pumped. I grew up on Gran Turismo. It's the reason I bought a Playstation. I remember spending my 8th grade summer holed up in the sweat locker that was my room playing Gran Turismo 2. My thumbs grew caluses . Gran Turismo 3 made me buy a Playstation 2. My thumbs were leather. Gran Turismo 4 made me a recluse summer 2005. That was roughly 5 years ago, and I've matured tremendously as a person; in all aspects.
WHERE IS GRAN TURISMO 5?!

So today I got an email about a job I applied for. Or so it seemed.
This employer-like email was obviously generated by information I submitted to one of the several job search engines by an algorithm someone was too lazy to program to sound more human-like. "this site" links to a linkedin-like job networking registration page.
How are there more job search/professional networking sites than there are jobs? I sign up for a new jobsearchnetworking site every time I apply to a job. I essentially have to submit 2 sets of information for every 1 job. Consequently the movie Brazil is not as far fetched as I thought. This is ridiculous and depressing.
Hi Donson,
I am checking in on your employment situation. If you are in the Banking/Mortgage job market or if you are seeking career contacts in the Hacienda Heights area, please visit this site...

bacon.

Is anyone else sick of this internet-bacon phenomenon? Bacon's good, I get it as part of my grand slam, but come on. I realize internet memes are for the most part pointless fun, but there is nothing entertaining about seeing bacon on the internet. Cats? Fine, I get it, they're photogenic and lend themselves to funny captions. Piano cats? Even funnier. Ironic wolf t shirts? Also fine, they're funny, and best of all you can't get them at Urban Outfitters.
But bacon related objects/products/images? NO. NOT FUNNY. It's also pornographic, culturally insensitive, and leads to heart disease. I know it's delicious, that's why it's on my plate where it should be, not on the internet. I log on to see cool amazing stuff I probably won't see in real life, not breakfast. If you think this internet bacon craze/blogger crutch is funny, please get off the blogs and reassess your life.
life update:
I'm still looking for a job, preferably in transportation and planning, but really in anything that pays better than retail. On the bright side I have been reading, working out, watching movies a lot more than I did in college.
